Wednesday afternoon I ordered a set of roll pin punches from HJE. This set here:

Ordered Wednesday and they were in my mailbox today. Packing was excellent. These are the nicest set of punches I have ever bought, every bit as nice as my Enderes. The roll they come with is nice too. The big "Wilde Tool Made in USA" is a nice touch on the roll's top.

I just placed my first order with HJE today. I've looked at their website several times, finally pulled the trigger.

All of the Wilde punches, even the smaller pin punch sets (~$12) are very high quality. I'm pleased with mine and can never seem to find an issue with any of the Wilde stuff.

I've been buying items from Harry J Epstein for a couple of years now. Easily the best distributor I've ever dealt with. Family owned, run and some of the most honest people I've ever met. I was lucky to visit brick and mortar shop a couple of years ago in Kansas City Missouri.

I finally looked at the bill of sale from HJE yesterday. They actually charged me lss shipping than their online final total. They could have left it as it was and I would not have complained. Nice to see a company run by people that look out for their customers.

I bought a set of the Wilde roll pin punches from HE two years ago during the Wilde Wednesday sale. The punches were fine, but the plastic pouch was cracked several places and falling apart like it was years old.

I'm OK with the punches but a little peeved at Wilde for using such cheap plastic for the pouches.

I pretty much only order from HJE.. I have their stickers on my hard hat. Top notch. Most of the time my orders get here next day but I'm only 3.5 hours from KC so that might help :)

I make it a point to only order certain items from Epstein. If I could, I'd only buy from them as truly they know how to run a business. I understand to survive profits must be important for a business, but there comes a point when a little bit of compassion and not being so ruthless is important.

They list the country of origin of every item they sell and there is a central focus on selling USA made items. They are my dedicated Wright, Wilde, SK and any chance I get to support them supplier.

I have used the punches a few times now and they have been excellent. The pouch is not the best, but I keep my other punches in plastic trays so the pouch is not a problem. I do wish Wilde used better material though.

Great company to deal with. I love that the specialize in selling American made tools and list the country of origin so you don't get ripped off thinking something is made in the USA when brands off shore and keep the name.

I'm a big HJE fan and also a Wilde fan. But Starrett pin punches are a superior product for not too much more.

Here's an 8 piece set:

The OP bought roll pin punches, the Starrett you show are not. A comment from the site.
"These do not have the "ball" at the end for roll pins, but you can certainly use them. But if you do not have a steady hand you run the risk of mushrooming the roll pin."

They are to close to me, every time I tell the wife I am going to Epstein's she breaks into a cold sweat. Going to their store is like going back in time, some of the nicest people to work with and they know their products. If you order by phone ask for some art on your package, it might surprise you. Good enough to frame and hang on the wall.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I didn't see the need to start a new thread for a similar topic.

I herd of this store from you guys on this site. I finally ordered something recently and am quite happy with my purchase. I will be buying more stuff very soon.

Thank you to everyone here who mentioned the site, and a big thank you to the store. It is very nice to see the Country of Origin (COO) for the items I am buying. It matters to me.
