Has anybody figured out a way to overcome the problem of using a Milwaukee cordless Portaband with a table such as the Swag. How the hell do you overcome the problem of needing to use a tie wrap to hold the damn trigger down while you're using this saw as a stationary band saw? Is there an adapter that would enable you to use a foot switch or some other sensible method of turning the saw on and off like you can with the corded version of this tool.

I'd solve it by buying the bauer with a coupon and dedicating it to the swag table.
Or
It shouldn't take too much engineering to manage a manual choke cable to activate the switch
or
an electrical activated selenoid
Or
A thing like the cattle killer on No Country For Old Men
Or
One of those 12v 800lb force magnetic door locks.
Or
A mechanical dead bolt from an old door.

A piece of wood or plastic could be shaped to wedge in the trigger area. Come up with a 3d printed design and sell them on etsy.

Once the trigger is held down, could you velcro strap it and pull the battery to shut it off?

I thought of the battery thing but the lock tabs would need broken off to make it painless.

I like the tapered stick idea better than any of my ideas.

I whittled a ~4" long piece of 2x2 into a wedge, works perfectly to hold the trigger down when I'm using my Dewalt Bandsaw clamped in my vise...

It's easy to nudge back and forth to turn the saw on and off, a lot easier than plugging and unplugging the saw every time you turn it on or off.

I guess I could post photos of the build...
