I was looking at buying a tow behind 12 volt sprayer for my lawn. Something like a 15 - 20 gallon version with at least a 4' spray width. I was surprised how much they cost.

Got me thinking about building something and mounting it to my dethatcher. Don't know what to use for spray nozzles.

Wondering if anyone has built one or something similar.

Thanks

Lots of guys in my area build their own. My brother built one using a 12V pump and a hose & wand he got from a local farm supply place. I am not sure what he used for a tank, but it looks like it holds about 20 gallons. He mounted it on a old mine-car frame--the kind with railroad-type steel wheels but 6-8" in diameter.

TSC and Northern both had them on sale lately. Don't know how you could get one cheaper than 200-225

I built a tow behind sprayer about 20 years ago for my church. You could use something as simple as two donut spares on a simple axle and tongue. I used a 55 gallon drum and about 6 nozzles I bought from TSC. I ran a hose from the nozzles up and into the drum. I spent $65 total (mostly for the nozzles as I had the rest of the stuff on hand.
