has anyone modified this tool box ?

has anyone made the work surface "top" area bigger ?
adding bigger counter top or what ever .

was looking for ideas.

The answer is yes, but what do you want to do on this counter top or whatever? That's what really matters.

I'm in process with mine. I already had the 38"x48" top mounted on a very light weight frame. I use it as a work surface when doing lathe projects. I plan on moving my mechanic tools from an older CM top/bottom box as it is bursting at the seams and doesn't have ball bearing drawers. The main frame is complete, I still have to add a handle and paint.

Whats the setup under the lathe look nice. is it a top box with no top?

I added a double thickness of 3/4" PDF, and covered with Formic.
