Has anyone ordered a lift from Ever Eternal recently?

Hi all,

I've been reading through all the threads on the Ever Eternal 6503 scissor lift and think it looks like a great addition to the shop. I've contacted them on pricing and was quoted $3100. When I asked if that included shipping to Vancouver (my nearest sea port) I was given a revised quote of $3130. It seems like most people were getting quotes of $1879 + shipping of $100 or $150 as recently as a few months ago. Has anyone else received this much higher pricing? I'm also considering the MaxJax 2-post, which I can get at the local Costco for $1999, so if this is the new pricing for the EE lift, I think that will probably be enough to push me in the direction of the MaxJax.

Fyi, here's the response I got when I asked why the price has gone up so much. Sounds like they no longer want to sell individual units. Too bad, because I'd gotten pretty excited looking at the threads on all the installs of this lift.

"That is the reason we are asking if you will buy in big quantity? As it is closed related to the price. We don’t sell 1 or 2 unit at the moment. As we are manufacturer, and we sell in container load. If you can make group buy of more than 10 units, I will offer you better price."

I also had a quote on 4 post - FOB shanghai so i can use a known shipper - but that cost seemed solid 2k more than bendpak delivered to door. I guess price is one way of saying no to one off orders.
