I don't know anything about them, but curious about them myself. If this thing is actually functional, it might be worth getting a used Android phone. They are cheap and easy to come by.

Have a coworker that has been renovating and older home here in Houston. He borrowed one from a buddy and said it worked very well. He was skeptical at first but came away impressed.

Unless you have lathe and plaster walls. It does not work with those.
