I was in OSH buying some 4ft flouresents for my garage and found a simliar lamp with halogen bulbs instead. For $24.00 I bought one and installed it over my workbench.

Wow that thing is bright!

So what could be the downside ? Anyone?

I am in the process of finishing my garage remodel and I don't have any flouresent fixtures. I wanted to be able to dim my lights when needed.

I have 12 stainless fixtures for a total of 56 x 50 watt halogen bulbs. I have one 100 watt recessed can in my toolbox room.

Anyone have any cool stainless pendant fixture recommendations for 150 watt incandescent or CF lights? I'm looking for something to mix in with my fluorescent fixtures to make a nice look.
Thanks.

Oh yeah, and I'm trying not to break the bank ;) last fixture I priced was $500+, yikes!

They are bright, too much heat comes off them for around here for alot of use. I had several 200 watt hal flood lamps in last garage, nice and bright.
