I have rocksolid, and it is great. No tire peal here, but I do have to black marks that came from my wife spinning the tires on the floor...but IT DID NOT PEAL UP. I have mine down a year, and don't have on think bad to say about it.

I just read the whole thread where they gave away the new tan floor for review. Check it out, lots of happy people.

I'm keeping tabs on those guys to see about long term results.

I was part of the tan give away. So far, no problems at all but I do have a small section left to be done and there was some over lap marks. My advice is to have two people rolling so that it does not start to set up before you make the over lap from the next section. Oh and wear gloves.

Did I say wear gloves?

For the most part it came out better than I expected and it looks great. It has not had any heavy use yet. Hopefully in a few more months, I will e finished my house and I can get back in the garage and fix the over lap streaks and finish the section that did not get covered.

I was part of the tan test/giveaway too.

This is my floor after parting out a super rusty 1971 Dodge D100 truck.

I dragged the transmission across it in one area, which left a couple scratches. It's a shop, bound to happen.

My favorite thing is how easy it cleans up from fluid drips and spills.
There are alot of choices out there but I don't think you can go wrong with the rocksolid product.

rmuell:

You are going to end up with a peely mess again if you don't prep the floor correctly.
You need to grind that floor good in order to have any floor coating last.

Nothing easy is any good, in the long run.

I'd love to hear more from you who have used the RockSolid Polyurea Garage Coat. I'm specifically interested in this one since it is a "one-part" system, no mixing.

Give me some feedback!

Is it really possible to get a tough coating without using a "two-part" system?

(Yes, I've already searched and read all previous posts that mention Rocksolid.)

This is the one I'm talking about:

Justin, Do you have any experience with the Polyurea Garage (the "one-part" system, no mixing)? I'd like to try it but am wondering if it's really possible to get a tough coating without using a "two-part" system?

RockSolid is a two-part system. There is one "bag" that has two compartments. You mix the two sides of the bag by rolling the bag like a tube of toothpaste.

It's a 90% solids product, meaning 10% are solvents that will evaporate away.

I haven't abused my Rocksolid floor but I haven't babied it either. I've drug jacks across it, placed jackstands directly on it, drug boxes across it, and it still looks like new without a single scratch. I'm constantly amazed at how durable it is.

I'd stay away!! I just installed the product in my garage and did it according to the instructions to the tee. I just moved my tools back in and in the process the floors chipped and pealed away! Not to mention, the bag wasn't sealed in the box so when I took it out it spilled all over. In the process of trying to save it (I bought just enough to cover my 500 s/f garage I got it all over my hands. I'm still trying to peel it off. And I still came up about 20-30 sf short. When I called the company and explained what had happened they initially told me I would have to purchase a patch kit even though it was their error! They did change their mind and decided to send me a patch kit without charging me. I can't tell you how upsetting it is after spending all the time and money on the product that it is peeling away two days later! They always get to claim user error since its a DIY product but I can assure you I did exactly as the video instructed. Buyer beware!

3 posts and all bashing Rocksolid. How long have you worked for the competition?

How long did you wait before you moved back into the garage? I put my floor down and it is like another layer of concrete. I had a question prior to installation and I found Rock Solid to be very helpful.

If someone wants to have the same complaint in three threads the problem should be addressed in each thread.
