How are you going to rotate it with a gas line and an exhaust vent hanging on it?

Why would I? Rotating it happens before it's connected to gas line and venting. Once you have that done you lock it down and it doesn't move. It rotates as a convenience when mounting so you don't have to get the mounting brackets perfect. Paying for convenience for sure, but I value my time at $100+ an hour so if I can save an hour by buying this, it's a good value to me.

$100?
Noway......I just direct mounted mine with lag bolts right into the ceiling joists, using the brackets that came with the heater

Please note my question was if you had used it, not your opinion on it nor what method you used.

It's moot now as I've ordered one to try. Makes sense to me.

bigz- are you rotating the heater 180 degree's? if so...I would suggest not leaving the gas valve upside down...dont care what other's may tell you.....

Yes, as easy as it looks. I mounted mine in a back corner of my shop at a 45 degree angle to spread the heat throughout the area more evenly. I also use 3 ceiling fans to keep the heat from stratifying near the roof.

As mentioned above, once you rotate your heater to the desired output direction, you can easily lock the unit into it's fixed permanent position. The unit is yery well built and engineered.

Exactly my plan. Corner mounted, etc. GMTA. Thanks.

I used a quick sling to hang a modine H20 Hot Dawg. It worked beautifully. But....there is no vent or hard gas pipe. I am using pex to supply the water, so there is some flexibility and I was able to angle it exactly where I wanted it. I am now going to mount a propane Hot Dawg in another location and I am wondering how this will work. Are there any ways to have the vent or gas line be a little flexible? If not, I guess this will still help with speed of install and be able to angle it quicker and easier. Any other thoughts or advice for an "A game" installation? Thanks.

Buy one stick of Unistrut. Much cheaper than this unit. Start your lay out based upon the vent location and work from there.

Looks like there is only one fastener for the two sq tube sections. Wouldn't use it for a heater that would weight more than 150lbs due to vibrations from the unit.

Good eyeball, the product page specifically says:
