Hats off to Tooltopia....

Yesterday (Wednesday) morning I planned to order a tool on my Amazon wish list. Since I’m a Prime member I assumed I would receive the item on Friday. For whatever reason Amazon indicated Monday delivery with Prime. I live in Northern MI and attributed the delay to that fact. Since I had to wait until next week to get it anyway I ordered the item from Tooltopia since it was a little cheaper. I added some S2 bits that I needed to the order to bump the total over 75.00 for free shipping.

It had been a while since I ordered from Tooltopia and recollected their shipping was pretty quick. Well, I received the complete order today, this morning, in Northern MI, within 24 hours of the order! It was shipped by FedEx and the order originated in Livonia, MI. I didn’t know Tooltopia shipped from MI. Anyway, I’m still amazed I received the order that quickly. I just wanted to share this info with everyone.

I can now get daughter’s car fixed this weekend. Thank you Tooltopia!

Maybe it was drop shipped from the mfr or another vendor ?

It wasn’t from the manufacturer, one item was Lang Tools and the other Vim.

I had the same experience with them I ordered a new soldering gun, some Knipex pliers and some nitrile gloves and they were delivered within 24 hours. I live in central IN and believe they came from the Livonia warehouse.

Tooltopia is a drop ship store front. I think they use ISN to distribute from so, if you have an ISN distribution center close by, you'll get your order pretty quickly.

On a side note: The last 3 of my 4 Prime orders were similar delivery. (ordered tuesday or wednesday with a promised delivery of Monday) I contacted customer service and got a free one day shipping upgrade. (interesting story maybe for it's own thread) I have heard some others having issues with Prime and then I read this post. unacceptable IMHO.
I have signed up for Jet but so far do not care much for their website. But I can get used to it. Good to hear about Tooltopia. Thank you for posting your experience.
