Whenever I go into my grandfather's machine shop I swear I can feel him watching as he was VERY protective of his precision tools. Several times in the evenings I swear Ive caught glimpses of him smiling from across the shop, but its probably just in my head. Doesnt help that the shop is old wood/dirt floors, damp and creaky, has quite a mix of machines late 1800s-1960s, some still lineshaft driven, and also has his Gerstner box still sitting on the bench where its sat since the 60s. He passed and much of its sat undisturbed for 20+ years. I guess you could say its haunted, but not in the scarey/creepy way, more in the "protected" way.

My whole family "sees" the original owner of our house. My youngest even referred to him as "my man." He had a motorcycle repair shop in the basement. Logged more hours at Daytona then any other amateur. We have never had any problems, but I think that might change if anyone ever moved in and didn't have some sort of a shop in the house.
