Having trouble cleaning slider glass

My doors face east, when I clean them, they look great, until the sun hits them. I am using a cheap squeegee and invisible glass. I thought eliminating paper towels and keeping it simple would be the ticket.

What am i doing wrong?

KayWoos cleaning clothes, use warm water only wring out good and wipe. Great on in/out side of auto windows, glass stove tops and sliding doors. Never use cleaner again, found them on amazon, believe they were recommended here. Happy Cleaning.

i got the stuff home depot sells. gallon lasts 100 years. you only use like a capful per gallon. also got the scrubber thing and squegee. spend the money. makes it so easy.
If that does not work your slider might have let its seal go and you have some stuff in there which makes it look bad.

If you're talking about Unger that's what I use too. Stuff works amazing with their window sponge and squeegee.

OP I've also used denatured alcohol if nothing else worked.

Hot water, ammonia, a few drops of dish soap and alcohol. Scrub well with soft natural fiber bristle brush, rinse, squeegee and dry with paper towels or microfiber cloth.

I was taught years ago to use newspaper to clean glass. Seems to work well.

If you use a deionized water window washing system, this will not happen. (This is a little bit of an investment, though.)

I need one for some fixed windows 50' off the ground, so I had to bite the bullet on one. It does great!

I have not used it on my home glass, but a clay bar and clay bar lube spray for auto paint works wonders on car windows. So, should work on all glass. Removes everything and comes out super clean. After using, wipe with a good microfiber towel.

Where streaking is noticeable I've had pretty good luck with 75 to 8o% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in a spray bottle and a clean micro fiber cloth. Spray the window pretty good and wipe it down with a micro fiber. Then a light spray and buff it with the micro fiber. If you are doing a couple windows. Use 2 micro fiber cloths. 1 for the heavy cleaning and another for buffing. Besure to get the frame on the first cleaning so you don't cause streaks from dragging that crud back on the window when you buff it.

I have really good luck with the Sprayway foamy stuff and paper towels on my glass french doors. You can buy it pretty much everywhere. I usually get it a Lowes or Ace Hardware, seems cheaper at Ace.

Get a bucket and a gallon of distilled water. Add a squirt of blue Dawn dish washing soap. Get the Unger scrubber from HD and use the squeegee that you have. Scrub well a couple of times and use straight pulls down adjusting the angle of the squeegee until you don’t get any streaks. Detail the edges with a lint free towel and you’re done. Oh, and don’t do it in direct sunlight.

I broke down and bought some pro equipment and after a bit of practice and watching videos on Utube, I now clean all of my windows inside and out a couple times a year. Once you get the hang of it, it literally takes 2-3 minutes per pane of glass.
