I picked this up off eBay a few months ago and wanted to get some ideas on refreshing it a little. It is an older (pre-1965 I think) Hazet 166N. Despite the appearance it is in really nice shape. I rolls very smoothly and the rust is only on the surface.
I had been watching it, and for most of the listing it was under a hundred dollars. I figured it would go for over 300 so i really wasn't planning in bidding, but with only a few minutes to go it was still around $120. I put a bid I with few seconds to go not really expecting to win and got it for a little over $125.
I am going to shadow the two shelves and put my most used wrenches and sockets in them. Should make working on the car a little easier with tool within easy reach.
Any idea what the original paint color is? what about the bumpers. Can I get replacements at a reasonable cost? Anyone ever remove them before? Any tricks? I have seem the Samba thread but haven't made it all the way through it yet.
Thanks for looking.
