Those are the cheapest of the Hazet screwdriver styles. The sets can often be found on some sort of offer, (about €20 if memory serves) and for that money they are good value! Not 100% sure they are German made, but they're good!

Wiha are good too. I'm not personally a fan of soft grip handles. They are fine for electrical fitting or carpentry, but hard to clean in a greasy environment! The blades are very durable though. If you can find these on an offer they will be similarly priced to the others. If not, they're still worth it. They are German made too!

For vehicle work, my choice would be (in fact was - I have a set in my road box) the Hazets with the hard black handles. Very tough, German made and clean up easily!

I'll second the Whia. They make quality tools. Their electrical tools are among the best.

Say the price of the Wiha set and the Hazet set were the same price ($50 NZD) , would that make a difference in choice.... maybe easier to choose...

or judging this as the cheaper Hazet style vs the Wiha for the same price... Wiha the better choice?

Of those exact two sets, I'd probably pick the Wiha. Only because that style is fairly common in the U.K. (I have a few myself) and I know the blades are pretty good!

Those particular Hazet are unknown, so until proven different I'd stick with Wiha.

Suspect either would be fine, and a much better choice than Taiwanese for similar money, if not more!

Wiha soft finish is more of a installer type finish. I have a couple and I like them, but I wouldn't use them near garage fluids.

Thank you for mentioning soft grip handles would be ideally for installer, electrical fitting or carpentry applications :)

I have used the Wiha for years but have switched to Felo 410 series and PB Swiss. The soft handle Felo's offer a better grip than the Wiha and are easy to clean. The PB Swiss are the best screwdrivers I've ever used but cost quite a bit more than the Felo's. For the money the German made Felo's are tough to beat. Yellow and Black handle 410 series.
