I got the catalog and they seem to have a very nice selection, they carry from what i can tell most of the stuff hazet offers. However the catalog has no prices! Ill have to call one of these days to ask prices on a few pieces (ratchet/sockets probably)

I have ordered from Spaenaur in Canada and it was an absolutely horrible experience. The prices were high, the shipping and other fees were unreasonably high. The only reason I ordered from them was because their online catalog had listed a lot of obsolete old stock items which I wanted. The catalog items looked like circa 1990. I thought I had discovered a treasure trove of NOS Hazet. It seemed feasible since their prices were so high, maybe they just had a ton of stock that they couldn't move. Either they really had the old stuff or they just had an absurdly out of date catalog. I asked them in very clear terms whether they were the old items or the new ones (they listed 600 series combination wrenches rather than 600N, for example) They assured me that all the items were exactly as in the catalog. I asked again, are they 600 or 600N. They replied that they were 600 series.
Every time I sent an email to them, a different person would answer. I had to repeat questions over and over to get an answer. It was an orwellian nightmare.
When I was fairly sure that they were indeed NOS after asking so many times, I finally pulled the trigger.
When the package came and I paid the whopping import fees, I opened it up.
To my horror, everything was the current stuff. They were 600N's not 600's etc.
What a fraud.
I just cannot express my total disgust with this company.
Save yourself from the rip offs and high prices.
Just buy from Jens.

^^^ I don't think you can blame Spaenaur for high shipping and import fees. Those are what they are. I think you're also dealing with 2 different types of companies. I think Jens specializes in Hazet tools for distribution to many countries whereas Spaenaur handles thousands of hardware products for the North American market but mostly in Canada.

Granted, I know import fees are a fact of life.
And I'm sure if you want to buy fasteners, they're fine.
My problem with them is that I asked them a direct question and they lied.
I asked: " Are they 600 series or 600N?" and they answered: " they are 600, exactly as in the catalog."
Then I made my buying decision based on their lie. I spent over $1,000.00 dollars buying tools which were misrepresented.
Just look at their catalog page. They show both 600 and 600N.

Well, thank you all. For your trust and your business. To give you a little insight about what I do and why I do it I would like to tell you my (short) story. I am the owner of two successful companies (www.putzier.com and www.deesys.de) that manufacture parts (thermal spray coated parts and sealing systems) for industrial customers worldwide. As you can see no trade or internet business involved. Until 2009 I only sourced and sold private things over the Internet or Ebay in particular. I had some experience with buying things from other countries (e.g. telephones when there were wireless phones and answering machines in the US years before we got them in Germany). Also I sold and bought many parts from my camera collection over Ebay when it started at the end of the 90s.
In 2008 I had the idea of dealing things over the internet and I started a little experiment with Hazet tools. I personally use Hazet tools since 1981 and still have what I bought back then from my pocket money. Quickly it became obvious that there is a demand for German tools in other parts of the world and that I am where the tools are and that people like you would appreciate to be able to buy them. So I started with an Ebay store and will open a regular internet store in mid September at www.jensputzier.com
Furthermore there will be a showroom at the end of the year that we use as an office space and to show tools to you whenever you make the way to Germany.
We cannot compete with any local store that you may have in your country and this is not the point. I try to deliver to you what you cannot buy conveniently in your country. If you want to buy an item that is available at a good price at your local store: Buy it there. If not I might be able to help you. So I am filling the blank space that your local distributors and shops leave me.
As there seems to be a demand for this people have asked me for more and more brands and therefore I carry Hazet as well as Knipex, Wiha, Brockhaus Heuer, Witte, Reilang and some others. I even sell the one off spare part for electronics equipment when someone asks me to.
I know that there are topics like warranty and returns and so on when you deal internationally, but I try to be as fair as possible to customers as I can. You will not find any comment about unfair behavior or anything else. In the few cases that something went wrong I replaced everything at my cost immediately to make the customer happy.

No worse than when we Canadians purchase from outside of Canada and get screwed on the the cost of shipping ,duty etc.
