Hello, I have a Hazet 4766 spark plug socket which I purchased from amazon Deutschland to America about seven months ago. Yesterday while using it on a truck, the metal retaining clip fell out in the back of the engine bay and I could not see or retrieve it. Amazon only offers a 30 day return and I heard it's difficult to warranty Hazet tools in America. Does anyone know where to get a new retaining clip or if tool trucks sell just the clip as a service part?

any pics? snap on will usually sell spark plug socket inserts separate. may be possible to convert but not sure about the clips style and what it looks like inside.

You may want to contact "jensputzier" he is a member and has a site on ebay under the same name as he is a Hazet retailer. I have heard nothing but good things about him from people that have dealt with him. Can't hurt! Let us know how it goes :)

I ran into them by chance at a euro fest day they held for customers in Atlanta

Interesting place "ssfautoparts". I live about 10 minutes from the place and never knew it existed. Thanks

From the Hazet catalog, part number "880 A KF-01" is the retaining clip for spark plug socket 4766.

I would contact Jens Putzier via email to find out if he can provide this, or there is always amazon.de. A quick search with the part number showed it available, although I did not check to see how much shipping would be to the US.

Note the "A" in the part number. There is a version available for other Hazet spark plug sockets that does not include the A in the part number.
