HD - IL - Husky 60 Gal Compressor Closeout

A little elf informed me that HD HQ has put the Husky 60 Gal 155PSI 11.5 SCFM compressor on closeout this week! (SKU 0000-911-625)

They had been reduced to $ 459 earlier in the yr. This week they reduced them to $344. There are a few still available in the Chicago area I.e. Elgin, Bloomingdale. Some of the HD stores have applied the clearance price, where others haven't as yet!

This is going on all over. I talked to a coworker the other day and he scored a 60gal Husky also on clearance for $300. It looks as if they're going from the gloss red of old to a new flat black. This is what I've found in my local HD.

I've been calling around all over my area and they are telling me the SKU 0000-911-625 is for the black one and it's at the regular price of $459. They all remember having red ones a couple months ago but they are long gone. If any of you guys who are still finding them have a different SKU number than this one please send me a PM. To the OP.. did your elf happen to say what color they were ? Maybe the black ones are going on clearance and it just hasn't hit my area yet ? Thanks

I didn't want to post any earlier, as HD didn't even really know what was going on. Some said the Red were on B/O, however, the pro-desk didn't have any scheduled delivery dates. Some of the stores don't even show the black ones in stock, other do. Some stores are aware of the compressor being discontinued, other didn't want to look any further into the matter!

Yup, it's the black one! My older son picked one up today @ $344!

As for the Red ones, acording to the Elf, they look like they are gone.

As a side note, there isn't anything in "The System" that is going to replace to 60 Gallon compressor!

I checked stock via the inventory checker thats linked in the Husky toolbox thread and called a couple of stores near me that showed these compressors in stock. They had them, but they were regular price at both of the ones I called.

Had some red ones at the local store for $350. Not cheap enough for me to buy a second one.

Called Schaumburg Home Depot, they don't have any any more. The only 2 stores in the area with them in stock hasn't discounted the price yet.
