Does 's anyone here know if the HD14TL Bendpak lift must be bolted down? I'd like to be able to move it occasionally. I'd get the HD9XL but I have used one and don't like the sag in the cross beams and runways with just a 1948 Chrysler on it. I always like to be on the heavy duty side so that's why I'm looking at getting the 7" tall runways on the HD14 series but need some more info on casters/movability ect. I also realize some sag is normal too but the HD14 Tall is what I'm looking to buy. I already have a Rotary 12,000LB 4 post open lift too but need another for storage.
Thanks,Bob

I think the HD14 is very similar to the HD12 series that it replaced. I own a HD12 and it has to be bolted down, I'm almost certain the HD14 will also have to be bolted to the floor.

Due to the high capacity and elevated height we do not recommend using the 14TL non-fastened. However, an interesting option would be to use recessed anchors similar to those used by the MaxJax lift. Roll the lift in position then fasten the columns to the floor using the recessed anchors.

We recently did the same for a user of our HD-9XW four-post lift. He was located in California and was concerned about earthquakes and any "wobble" that may be present when the lift was fully raised. His vehicles were worth more than most of our houses.

We installed two recessed anchors for both left-side columns at two install locations. A stowed location with the lift pushed all the way to the side of the garage, then a second set of anchors with the lift positioned towards the middle.

Fastening the columns only takes about five-minutes per column.

Now thats the answer I am wanting to see! I need to be able to move it a couple times a year.I also want safety-earthquakes happen here in the Seattle area too. Are casters available for the HD14TL? I didn't see them in any info on this lift.
Thanks Jeff!

If you would like to know if the HD-9 series casters would fit a 14 series lift, then yes they will.

Could you then move the HD-14TL UNLOADED similar to a HD-9 series lift...yes, you would be able to.

:rolleyes2

Hope that clarifies.

With the support Bendpak gives here, they are on the top of my list when I buy one in after the 40x80 is done!

This is a great solution and I wondered if something like this existed......

Thanks

edit: are those just ordinary lag shields? i'm not sure i'd like those for repeated use.......what about the old style lead anchors.......even those for repeated use would make me a little uncomfortable.....at least with a 2 post.....but we are talking about 4 post and that's quite different......

what about the "multi-set II"
