HD40 review

Just put down HD 37, HD40, and the cherry wax and so far it looks good and I am very happy with it. First Scotty at Legacy was great answered all my questions quickly, called him while putting the stuff down with a question and got a quick answer. It went down easy 3 evening a few hours each evening and it was done. I did 2 coats 37, 2 coats 40, burnish then 1 coat cherry wax and it looks good. Still may do one more coat of wax. But I'm am completely happy with the floors and would recommend this product to anyone.

If your floor is machine troweled and smooth it will contain most liquids and oils barring fuels and solvents.

Keeping in mind this is a breathable product, eventually liquids will find a way through it.

Wax adds a protective layer, adding to the performance.

The floor looks nice but "will contain most liquids and oils barring fuels and solvents" and "eventually liquids will find a way through it." does not sound like a very good garage floor choice for most people. AND it needs waxing, how often? Would you say this is more for someone who does not do much work in their garage and more about the cost savings?

Thoughts:
This is the same product used to seal terrazzo at the airport, polished concrete at the mall or supermarket. It has a place in the garage too.

When placed over a smooth surface it works amazing. Ends dusting, helps fight stains and adds an attractive sheen.

It is the specified product for all new Jiffy Lube shop floors so it must not ****.

If your needs are greater than choose a higher performing product! We don’t recommend this for solvent/fuel spills but we have many products that laugh at this type of spill ie: NOHR-S, HellFire Concrete Coating, our HD or SD epoxies.

Match the right product to the right application and you will be happy as a clam.

How well would work for inside a home? Bedrooms, kitchen, living room, etc. What kind of maintenance, and how often? Would it show a wear pattern from walking traffic? Would it show scratches and marks? Thanks

Absolutely it can be used on nice smooth machine troweled interior floors.
I would top with a coat of wax and you are good to go.

All products will show wear patterns over time dependent upon traffic and maintenance. Keep floors clean with a nice coat of wax present and this can be controlled very easily. Incidentally, wax can last a very long time. In many cases application is an annual event at worst.

Wax adds a sacrificial layer. Protecting the sheen created by the HD40.
