New install? Did it work before?

Try jumping the tstat to first rule it out

Then, try resetting the rollout switch(es). They are located just outside the burner chamber. Turn off the power then press the small button between the 2 leads to reset it. If it clicks you have reset it and the unit will fire up when you turn the power back on with any luck. If it doesn't click it wasn't tripped.

Check to be sure there isn't more than one by tracing the leads connected to the switch. If a rest doen't work then there are 1 or 2 limits on the same red wire ciruit. You can jump them out to test (ONLY).

I have had the same trouble with my Modine HD60 as D45 mentioned. I discovered it about a year after it was installed. I pinched it just like the post above and it worked fine for another year and the upper limit switch started to trip again. I removed the upper most burner tube and welded that slit up with my mig. The unit continued to give me grief with the upper limit still tripping until I bypassed that limit temporarily. Recently I noticed again that the top burner tube flame was hitting the top of the heat shield. It melted the 24V wires from the transformer together and got hot enough to start to melt the thermostat terminals on the control board. Hence the importance of that upper flame rollout limit.

I took the covers off the unit to get access to the burner tubes, everything is clean. I noticed that the first 3 burners the flame fires directly into the exchanger tubes but the top flame seems to be a little weaker or wilder and hits the top of the shield. Trying to figured a way to contain the upper flame to better direct all of it into the top exchanger tube.
