I'm sure some of you guys have much more elegant set-ups that I've done for my BendPak HD9 4 post lift. While I hope the "up" button never sticks....better safe than sorry.

I wandered around Lowes too long...as always...but got a weathertight box and switch cover as well as a 30A two pole switch. I painted the box black and installed on the side of the lift electrical box over a knock-out. I moved my incoming line to the new box. The only thing left to do is to get a plug to cover where the line used to go in at the top.

I think it looks good and is a good thing to have installed.

Getting ready to install my 4 post Bendpak HD9 lift this weekend and need to wire it all up. Excellent idea and although more than likely not needed its always best to be safe than sorry. I will be taking your idea and using it on mine. Thanks for posting!!!

I' just used a non fused A/C disconnect box mounted on the wall w/ the red lever mounted on side to kill power. I then used a cord & plug rated for 240v.

I have been using my HD-9 for years and never had any issues with anything except 1 haudraulic hose , the steel fitting broke the first year I had it , replaced it and no issues sine , my 220 volt plug is near so if it did happen I'd just unplug it . Never even though of this problem
