I knew going in this may happen. The flange end moved around enough that its not round anymore.
That is after I sliced and welded it back up. I am thinking about heating it up with my MAPP gas torch, all I have till I set up my oxy/act.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I thought it was worth a try. Worse cae I have an expert weld on a new flange.

This picture shows the flange that is backwards to show how off the header is.

I cut off the flange as it needed rotated. It'll go back on after I fix warp.
(if I fix warp? :headscrat)

Could you use one of those tail pipe expanders to open it back up,then work outside of pipe using the expander inside as a mandrel to guide you?

I'm not really seeing the problem here. Weld on a piece of pipe with your standard 3 bolt flat flange, and you are good to go. You'll be able to bolt exhaust pipe up that way.

You could also fabricate a ball and socket flange as well and weld that on if you like.

Any exhaust shop can fab up little bits of pipe for you if you don't own a pipe bender.

I'm with zmaxmotorsports on this, the other idea would be to deform the pipe that you are going to weld to match the header,

Here are pics showing how the header points toward the frame rail.
(and approx where I cut a slice out and got it to face in a more proper direction)
Also how the flange is suppose to look. With a failed attemp at head pipe mock up.
