I'd like to add a ceiling mounted heating panel in my bathroom just to help with any morning chill. Does anyone have experience with a particular one they'd recommend? A 120V or 240V version is OK. 120V might be easier to wire up, but I'm imagining it would put out less heat. The bathroom is approximately 72sqft. If a ceiling mounted option isn't feasible, is there a wall mount one that is recommended that is 2' square or so?

Is there one that would be better suited for a barn/shop use that would project decent heat in an open space? I'm mostly looking for something to take the chill off a cold barn. Is there any special "shielding" needed for these given their radiant heat nature? Lastly, I would be concerned by sawdust as this is going into an area with a table saw, bandsaw, planer, jointer, and woodworking activity. I need something that won't catch fire if sawdust gets on it. Thank you!

Many years ago before I ripped all of my old 1950's force hot air system out, I installed a 120V 2x6 infrared panel on the ceiling of my 7 foot high den. It was controlled by a line voltage thermostat.
It worked fast and warmed the bodies in the line of sightand as far away at 45 degrees.
Some years later, I brought an infrared parabolic heater for spot warming myself in the garage.
I also have seen natural gas fueled infrared tubes being used at Home depot. Seems to warm the people not the space.

If you want something that works quickly, a ceiling mounted infrared heater should work well to heat the person, but usually does not heat not the entire room.

I've also seen hotel rooms that use a wall mounted towel bar/heater panel that provides more general bathroom heat. They are basically an electric radiator, but everything is sealed, so sawdust would not be an issue. They are also designed to have a towel hanging on them, so contact with fabric or other flammables should not be a problem when they are on.
