In the process of putting a 6' addition on my 24' x 24' garage, I have ended up moving the garage out of the way, put in a new footer, block foundation, and am now ready for a new 24' x 30' floor.
My thoughts are for a heated slab with a trench drain down the center, but I'm concerned how to form everything for a single pour that allows for an extra deep trench style drain (18" deep x 6" wide x 20' long) that doesn't create sharp corners on the bottom of the slab so I can insulate properly with 2" foam.
Does anyone have pictures of any heated slab installations with trench drains of any kind?
Another thought is to pour the drain as a separate section then pour the slab around it later... Thoughts on this direction?
