Hello Heating experts.

I live in Wisconsin, my attached 3 car garage is insulated, sheetrocked, painted, etc.

I'm looking at a Dayon 3E226E heater at an auction, says its normal input is 45,000 BTU, output is 36,450 BTU, 81% Thermal efficiency.

Is this too little or too much for my garage?

Ah, sure I left out some details.

Attached to the corner of the house, approx 8' of the west side wall and approx 15' of the back wall, south wall are shared with the house.

Walls are 2x4 construction with insulation, I forget what r value, the ceiling has blown in insulation by me so....its 6" or somewhere between 4 and 8...maybe 2 and 8....haha

Actual dimensions I'm not sure of approx 22'x30'ish. I'm at work. I know its not big enough...

16x7 and 9x7 doors, unisulated, but both now have insulation inserts in them - these face North

No windows, 1 service door on the back, the south side.

I just remembered they told me the standard garage they build is 24' deep. I went to my dads garage laid a tape measure on the floor and said to myself 24' is plenty. Well I did not know THEY meant 24" outside dimensions...so I lost over a foot from the studs, garage door etc.

My attached garage, in northern Il, is 900 sq feet with 15' ceiling, 1 18' and 1 9' OH door with 2 large windows and 1 man door. Insulation is very good - all blown in cellulose in walls and ceiling. I use a 45k nat gas furnace @ 80% efficiency. It keeps the garage at 50 no problem and will heat it up to 60 - 65 in about an hour depending on the outside temp. In hindsight the until is slightly undersized for my garage but works fine for my needs, if I did not have such good insulation I think it would have been too small.
