My initial plan was to purchase 2 75k unit heaters and place them in the center on one of the 50' walls, installed at a 45 angle, pointing at the opposite wall corners.
However, being the horizontal vent kits are ~300 each, I'm considering just 1 heater, but not sure which direction to face the heater, do I point it at the wall straight across, or at a 45? Or inline with the wall?

my options are...

It depends upon how you are going to use the space. Do you want the heat source at one end or the other depending upon use? I would put it blowing across/along the N wall. You want the one to create a convective loop in the space. One 75 should be sufficient for 1500 sq ft. Live with it and see
