Heater position

I have a 40 x 50 x 12. I didn’t want to over size the heater so I opted to install 2 80k mr heaters. My question is will it be best to position the heaters on the same end both blowing down the shop or do I position them in opposite corners diagonal to each other.? My shop is located in Shawnee OK. There is a 16x8 door in north side wall, 16x12 door in east end wall, 10x8 door on south side wall, walk thru door on west walll and north wall. Both north and south walls have 10x50 porch. If I place both on same end the will be on both sides of rhe 16x12 door. All doors are insulated and shop has 3” vinyl backed. Steel frame. With 4:12 cathedral style trusses. Also where is the best place for thermostats? Will have one running to keep shop temp steady second heater will be to get shop up to temp from 45-50 at night. And to keep night temp steady if temps drop really cold at night.

I would locate them kitty-corner on opposite walls about a 1/4-1/3 off the corner. That way you create a nice convective loop in the air circulation.

It must get really cold in OK.
My 40x60 in AK has one 80k. I have R21 in the walls, R18 doors, and the ceiling is at least R38 at one end and R60 in the majority.

Mine only has 3” vinyl backed insulation. Not super insulated like it would be further north. I think my doors are r10.

place the tstat behind and below the heaters. you could even set them at different temps so as to stage them.
