Heater troubleshooting

I have an olsen KAS100 that I bought used.. looks a little old with no manuals and can't find much on the net. The issue I am having is the unit will fire with gas on and burners will ignite, however, the circulation fan will not turn on. The burners will run for about 5 mins then shut down. If i direct wire the fan it will turn on.. any idea where to start? Anyone familiar with this unit? It is an overhead furnace 75,000 BTU. Thanks!

Sounds like the fan limit is not working . You should be able to find it inline between the incoming power and the fan . When the flames kick on they will heat up the heat exchanger " and the limit " . Once the limit hits the right temperature it will close and power the fan .

so there should be a delay between the burner igniting and the fan coming on?

Yes the heat exchanger needs to get up to temperature before the fan kicks on otherwise you will get cold air until the heat exchanger actually heats up .
