Going back a while I posted about my tools sweating with the use of my propane heater. It is the Mr Heater. I have a propane tank attached and it works great. Except for the humidity issue. Will this happen with any type of propane heater? I do not want to have to purchase a torpedo style kerosene heater, however if this will solve the moisture issue I may be forced to.I am able to live with the moisture on the windows but I have quite a few cordless tools that sweat when using the heater mentioned. Most of them are out of warranty. Ideally I would like to have a wood heater of some type but as of now this is out of the question.Electric space heaters are Ok but require an outlet.Back to the power tools sweating,I do not think this will do them any good with circuit boards, microchips and processors.Any suggestions? Thanks, Ken

The problem will only be solved when you can maintain a constant temperature in your shop. The tools will continue to develop moisture if the temperature is warm by day and cold by night. It's unfortunate I know. I have the same problem.

I heat the shop with an older LP house furnace. The shop is no colder then 60° during the heating season with occasional being turned up 70°. Only moisture I have is from melting snow covered vehicles off. Still water puddles evaporate up pretty quickly. All in all I'd say the shop is very dry during the winter as the quench bucket next to bench grinder evaporates rather quickly also.

Any gas heater without a heat exchanger and a vented flue will raise your shop humidity greatly. A clean burning gas flame (natural gas, propane, butane) creates CO2 and water as the main byproducts of combustion. Bobcatdan has the right heater for the job.
