Hey boys...

Im looking to do a lot of car work in my garage this winter..
And with the winter we had last year, i plan on heating my garage.

Its a "2 car" garage(maybe 2 mini's!) . Also has an insulated door/walls
I have the option where i can run either a 220v or natural gas out to the garage.
I could even run a duct out to the garage from the furnace?

What option would be best?

Thanks for any input

Hmmm ok.. maybe it might be better to run natural gas then.
For the amount of time i will be running it anyways will be probably on weekends only.

Yes insulated garage door/walls.

My dad has is gas ticket so he can do all the work for me too :)

Natural gas is no doubt the cheapest way to heat it. Initial cost is more, but it is a "one time" cost and after that it is fairly inexpensive when compared to other ways of heating.

I have a Hot Dawg 60,000 BTU heater hanging from the ceiling for my 24X36 garage. Works great, it's left at 50 degrees when I am not working out there and it get turned up when I want to work on a project. The garage heats up to 70 degrees pretty quick. You probably won't need one that big, but the Hot Dawg brand works good.

Ditto on the Hot Dawg. I have 2 Modines, one Hot Dawg and one PDP. Pay a little more up front but they last forever without issue.

TSC has the Big Maxx 40k on sale for $499. I'm picking one up tomorrow. You can probably get one in the St. Catherines store or get Grimsby to order you one, they are out of stock.

What I see id the 50k on sale , out of stock but you can place an order & they will ship when in stock. they also ship to store for p/u there I think

edit, ok, 50 k in, 40 k out . that's only 80% efficient, is there anything with higher efficiency?
