Heating and cooling a 50x35 stud garage

I am finishing up building a new home and you weren't allowed to have detached garages so I attached it to my house.

-50x35 15 foot ceiling height
-insulated 2x4 walls
-bricked exterior

I keep my boat in there and we are going to setup a home gym in the area so I need to heart the space and would like to cool it also. In the winter I would like to maintain it most of the day around 50 and then raise as needed. What unit would you consider? I have looked at forced air, heat pump, and mini split systems. I am putting 2 ceiling fans in the center.

I live in Kentucky. 99-110 summers with mid level humidity and winters in the teens

two ceiling fans will make little difference of any kind in this space.

Doing 2 x 8 ft ceiling fans in the center then a wall mount in the front show ting towards the back and the back shooting towards the front

With your mild Kentucky climate, I'd say lean towards making sure you have A/C side well covered.

Have you considered Mini-Split system with 2 air handlers and one outdoor unit ??

I have looked at minisplit in the 45-60k BTU range. With the ability to heat and cool I love this option. There are units that have 2 - 30k "multi room units" but the 1 room 50ks only have one air handler which seems like an issue to spread the air around

Mini-splits: (1) 24k btu and (1) 36k btu unit would most likely do the trick.

Hard to tell exactly without R-Values, sun exposure/windows, etc. Make sure you have backup heat just in case.

Air handler with ducts and heat pump is great though. Better air distribution, only one system.. Electric or NG backup heat possible. You should get quotes!
