I recently acquired a 60x33 shop. Please excuse the mess, I am still in the moving process. Currently it has this old monster of a furnace heating it. The furnace is in poor shape and im planning to replace it. I am planning on a radiant tube heater for the main shop portion. Problem Is the office and bathroom area is currently heated by the same furnace. An option i will not have with the tube heater. I need to keep the bathroom heated, as it runs my house water line through it. I have natural gas run to the shop i am looking for suggestionss on keeping this approx 350 square foot space warm through MN winters.
I would like to air condition it in the summer, so i was thinking a mini split. It has been 20 below zero several times in the past month, and i am reading mixed results of them heating at this low of temps. I have a hanging big maxx heater in my garage i am leaving, and it has worked great for the last decade. I set a temp on the thermostat and never think about it again. But it looks like even the smallest forced air heater will be over kill in this small of a space. Thanks for any suggestions.
