I've had every heater you could think of. I now run a wall mounted 36,000 btu gas wall Heater, I'm 20x 20 ,I figured it out and I would need like 28,000 btu ,but for the extra $40 bucks they had a 36,000 btu ,(Heater was $150,from home depot, but I think NorthernTool has them too) Heater works perfect and has a built in thermostat and a pretty quiet fan. I did go the extra mile for insulation and drywall. $250 for drywall and like $250 for insulation,I didn't want to, but I'm glad I did it.I turned an engine hoist into a drywall lift for $40 with a HarborFreight winch and an old bed frame, and a peice of unistruit and some weld..and my hands don't stick to my frozen tools anymore!

Isn't it great to have a warm garage? I love mine, I have a 24x32 garage with 10ft ceilings and finished my heater install and keep my garage at 52 degrees when I am not out working in it. I too, insulated my garage along with wrapping it in housewrap when I built it along with insulated doors. It is nice to have tools that are not rusting up and my hot rod doesn't do the sweat thing any more.
