Having spent the past week reading threads in this section, I'm more confused than ever.
I had always intended to install radiant in floor heating supplied from its own independant boiler(furnace?). The radiant disappointment thread has me reconsidering this. I have radiant in floor in the house & whilst generally we are happy with it, I'm currently paying around £70/month for natural gas. It must be said however that this is partly due to an admin balls up on the suppliers part that cannot be adjusted

I have been giving serious thought to forced air induction heaters, Reznor in particular as we can get them over here. My concerns here are the limited ceilng height (13ft to ridge, eaves area just over 8ft) and also the running costs.
I've dismissed hydroshark/electric boilers due to the high costs of electricity and the free standing floor heaters are out due to obvious space considerations.(Shop foot print will be around 360sqft)
I will mainly use the garage for working on motorcycles and maybe a bit of detailing on the car.
Without giving the game away too much as the build thread is imminent, the garage will be well insulated-2" in the floor and XP in the walls & ceilings. The vehicle door will also be insulated as well.
