Can you use a tankless electric water heater instead of a boiler on a radiant heat system installed in a slab of concrete? (Closed System with antifreeze)

I have heard of folks trying it, no reason it would not work if heater was large enough. This seems to be the biggest issue, most electric heaters don't have the capacity to do the job. The other comment I have heard is that tankless heaters are not designed to run for extended periods of time like a boiler is and it will not last as long. The flip side is, they are so much cheaper that you can replace several and not equal the cost of a boiler. I am considering a gas fired tankless as electricity for me is fairly expensive and a gas unit the size I need will cost less.
