Heating RV Garage?

Hey guys,

I got a quote from a local AC company for a 3 ton Fujitsu Mini Split with dual heads for my RV garage and another basement room nearby, but the price was $9K installed which is out of our budget.

We have natural gas coming inside the house, right above the RV garage, so I was wondering if there was another efficient heating source we could use the natural gas for to heat the garage.

The garage is 32'L x 14.5'W x 13.5'H with one 12' x 12' garage door.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Standard NAT GAS hanging garage heater can be purchased for $400-$600.
Install will vary $800-$2000.

Just did this one.... about 600 bucks including pipe and t stat. 80000 btu. About 4 hours to install, as the commercial says, so easy even a caveman could do it. ( not a big shop 26x36 heat very fast and will easily drive you out if t stat set to warm)

Where are you located? Do you need AC/dehumidification? How much insulation? Is this a separate structure, a closed off bay of a larger detatched garage, an attached garage?

More information please! The more you give the better we can help you.
