Thank to all for a great site. I am getting ready to build a 40X64X14 pole barn in Michigan. It will have an enclosed 16X32X8 office/shop that will be heated during the winter. Currently no natural gas available and we have GEO w/electric backup for the home. I plan to my $$$ in insulation but what would be the most economical for heating options?

-Pex radiant w/electric water heater
-Pex radiant w/propone water heater
-Mini split (w/air for the summer)
-Overhead radiant propane (tube style)

Any suggestions or options are welcomed.

How many zones did you do? Any "rough" estimates on the cost?
