Heating then AC- 22x24 w/ vaulted ceiling - Ideas/Suggestions

My detached garage is 22x24 outside, 21x23ish inside. It has a vaulted hip roof, 12ish foot tall at the highest point. R-13 in walls/ceiling. 2 single pane windows and a mildly insulated garage door.

Here is what I want to accomplish.

Kept between 35-40 degrees when I am not in there in the winter (i live about an hour SW of chicago.) Temps here are usually between 0 and 30 in the winter.

Get it up to 60 degrees fairly quick when I want to go out there and work (30 mins or so to get up to that temp would be fine)

In the summer - Keep it below 90 in there all the time and drop it to 80 or less during the time I am working. This is not really as big as a deal as the heat

My current plan.

Get an electric Oil Filled radiator and run it at low or medium to keep it at 35-40 degrees. Use a big buddy or similar 18-20k BTU LP heater hung on the wall in the garage to kick the heat up when I am in there. Heater will be mounted on the wall opposite the door (same wall as my work bench would be and on the engine side of the car when I pull them in to work)

For the AC use just the insulation to try to keep it under 90 degrees (roof is almost all under shade and the door faces North might have to add some sort of power vent to the roof as venting now is poor at best) and a 8-10k BTU AC unit to kick on when I am going to be out there for a long time otherwise it won't be used. I will wall mount this on the wall opposite the door

Does this sound like a decent plan? Any suggestions on how else to accomplish these things?

I'm interested to see how you do on this, I'm building a new 22x24 garage in the SW burbs, Mokena. Planning heated slab with slab temperature control capability (i.e. including a conduit in the slab for a temperature sensor), and split system heat and A/C later. I'm also planning spray in foam insulation for the roof, like I did in the house, really helps reduce attic temperatures, and without ventilation. Not cheap though.

yeah no luck for in slab heat for me since I didn't build it. The AC is no use really for me. I usually do the my work at night after its cooled off and most things I can take into the basement. I would just want something for either long term projects or when I am going to be hangin out with the guys out there for a while.

With your slab heat you can do a thermostat to turn the pump on and off thats what my dad does. Just set it at 60 and leave it.

If I could afford a mini split I wouldn't even be asking this quesiton. This isn't a forever house, 5-7 years here and itll be for sale. The next one I will hopefully be building and it will get floor heat. If not it will get a mini split.
