Anybody heating a shop with a construction heater. Not talking about a bullet heater. Frost Fighter construction heater OSV 500. Normally these heaters have a duct work that is piped in so they can vent outside.

My thought is ... if I had one then i could vent it through my existing chimney with 6 inch pipe just like any other oil fired furnace.

Specs on the chimney--- it is a stainless chimney with total height being over 20 feet. double wall pipe for the the first 14 feet.

Wondering if these heaters exhaust hot enough to get it to draft? I also want no fumes if I do this. Thought it would be a good way to put a slug of heat in the building and I could live off that while in there. Then would let it go cold again when i am not in there and it would recover quickly or could just use it to overcome the large cold mass-- -26 here and the shop floor is cold so i need to build thermal mass before i can stabalize the heating operations. Shop is well insulated so no worries there--- holding in the teens even with this brutal weather.

I also have a spot where i could go up about 9-10 feet and then go out vertically if need be. no chimney there would just push some B vent through the wall if that were the option.
