Also depends on the drill motor, quite often this type of machine will use a two speed motor (sometimes 4 speed) to get more speeds with less gear changes, in which case the VFD is out if you want to have all the speeds, though you can wire it to use the high motor speed and slow it on the VFD.fingers crossed! I'll find out next Wednesday when I pick it up. I appreciate the tip about removing the head, hopefully the forklift guy will be able to help me with that. Not sure if I'll be putting a VFD on it or building a rotary phase converter, depends on what I do with a large mill I'm also getting![]()
