I have to compress some snow plow springs to reinstall a trip edge. Any suggestions on a heavy duty, non-Chinese-junk tool to do these?

Thanks

Chinese is ok. Chinese junk is not.
I've had this MiC spring compressor for years, and it's been great.

I've used all threee plates at this point (pic is from shortly after I got it) - the little one worked on my Mini springs, the black on my old BMW and the silver on my wife's Odyssey.

No drama, and less expensive now than when I bought mine from eBay eight or more years ago - think it's now available from multiple sellers on Amazon too.

[EDIT - I'd add that it's designed to be used with a hand-ratchet. I have used my Milwaukee M12 ratchet on it though (generally don't use top speed) and that seems to be fine too, though I personally wouldn't use an impact.

This one appears to be the same and comes with pads for the springs that I don't have - that's actually kinda nice. The case is better too - "real" hinges vs. plastic tabs that are now cracked and failing on mine]
