The problem I have found with heavy duty truck scanners is the oem software is not standardized like automotive software. While you can get some readability with it, it probably won't cover all the manufacturers software. I recently looked a the SnapOn prolink scanner and while it covers a lot more than my OTC genisys it didn't give me everything I need. I've been looking for an all in one scanner for several years for the fleet I maintain and have pretty much come to the conclusion that if you can get your hands on the oem software for a laptop that is the way to go.
