We have a Heil furnace model NULK100DH04. Is anyone familiar with this blower used in this furnace? We're going to get it apart to have a look at it. Wondering if the fan wheel is replaceable or what is the Heil part number for this wheel or whole assembly? Thanks

Heil furnace combustion blower

It depends on how far you're willing to go.
I recently had a Carrier furnace with a combustion motor problem. Carrier said the part would be around $600 retail. I told the customer I'd be willing to take the blower assembly out of the furnace, and go to the local motor warehouse and try and match up a motor/blower cage to match. Probably be cheaper than $600, but, you'd have to be without the unit for a couple of days while I did my mod work. Never got to do the repair as they cancelled their contract about 3 weeks later.
But I'm betting I could have gotten some combination of parts to work.

How old is the furnace?
Most of these fans are made by hayward in one way or another, I used to save the blower assemblies out of furnaces when I did swap outs and they had working fans in them. most of them fit a bunch of furnaces and they were good replacements in a pinch.
Why I ask the age of the furnace is a lot of times the cost of the combustion fan is about 1/2 the cost of a new furnace, if you have an Re mciheal co. or other commercial hvac supply company local to you, you can buy an entire furnace for $450 or so.
I just did 1 yesterday for a woman whos hx failed and couldn't afford to change her unit so was using electric heaters. My church put me in touch with her and me and my sons changed it in 45 minutes, lol... I paid $250 {no tax for donations and the supply house gave 40% off}, I only needed 2- 4" elbows to make the unit fit, and it fired right up, she now has heat... Ill bet it would have taken me 2 hours to change the heat exchanger and her old furnace was a lennox and they wanted almost $500 for an HX!!!
So, sometimes throwing good money and time after bad, is not a great idea. there are very affordable furnaces out there, basic installs a re simple because most follow the same height guidlines, so most furnaces under 100K are 34.5" tall with say 17x19.5 supplies. And they are simple to change my 16 year old can do it...
Anyway figured I would mention that... As for your blower, best thing to do is take it all apart look for numbers and specs. Try to match it up, or look for an entire used fan unit on ebay... good luck..
