Hi Gents,
I have recently acquired this jack from my father who at 90 is too old to be using such things.
It is in good working order, although it did need a new cup seal and a good clean up.
The only markings on it are 310-A and Made in USA, doing a search on the net I have identified the manufacturer as Hein-werner.
It has been in the family since at least the 1950's but I wondered if anyone could give me an approximate age of it?
I feel it could have possibly come over to England during WW2.

Thanks Paul.

I am not sure how old that jacks is, the naming scheme seems to be different than what I can find online.
^heres the same jack and someone calling it a hein-werner

Here is the earliest naming scheme I could find,

It is from 1941 and fits Roberts210's jack. This doesn't mean his jack is from 1941, they used this part system for a few decades.

I would assume 310-A means 3 ton capacity with a 10-inch ram? It's just a guess, I'm not familiar with the history of bottle jacks...
It is definitely old though

EDIT: The 10 probably indicates the jack is 10 inches tall when the ram is all the way down.
