I purchased a Hein Werner Midget floor ******** eBay ($20.00 + shipping). The jack is really a Midget, 2000 lbs. capacity, 14" long, weighs about 30 lbs.
I cannot find any information on this jack. I have polled my HW suppliers and experts and no one knows this jack. The small brass, etched ID plate (1" x 1 3/4") states, "PATENTS APPLIED FOR." This phrase usually indicates a very old tool. What paint remained on the Midget was the HW green.
I am rebuilding the jack with a local Amish-run hydraulics/machine shop. They do great work. We can get a seal kit put together from Steve at Hydraulics Parts Supply (620-594-2247) who many of you may know. Other seal supply houses have indicated they can find seals for the Midget. However, no one has heard of the jack. The worn parts will have to made by my machine shop - no problem.
I have attached photos for review. Does anyone know the HW Midget? Does anyone have literature on this jack?
Thanx,
