I just picked up an old Hein Werner model "K" floor jack to use at home and the only issue that I can see with it is that it sticks when its up. IF there's weight on it, it'll release just fine, I've sprayed all the pivot points with Blaster, but its still tight. can the hydraulic ram be lubricated at all? The ram is nice and dry and clean. Maybe its been serviced in the past, but I have no idea,
Also looking for manuals and or parts breakdown diagrams. Any parts or rebuild kits available for something like this? Thanks

Yes, they are intact. I sprayed all the pivots. Took out a few bolts also to make sure they weren’t seized up. It will come down if I give it ten minutes. It’s just very slow.

Yes, but maybe they’re weak….
Is it worth spraying the piston with some spray lube. Maybe the seal is really tight or dry.

Worth a try - extend the lift arm all the way up, then lube the rod. Hydraulic oil or ATF will work as well, or if you already have the spray lube, use that.

There's a packing nut as well (#1 on the drawing) - make sure that the previous owner wasn't a little overzealous in trying to stop a leak.

Also, look at the release mechanism, make sure it's backing off as it should.

If all those check out, you may have an issue with the ram cup (#8).
