Have narrowed my choice down for 3 ton floor jacks between:
Norco 71300A vs. Hein-Werner HW93652
Any experience with one or the other?

This is a easy one, Go with the HW it is using a hydraulic system that is 60+ years old and far superior to the Norco.

Who would have thought 20 years ago that OTC, Hein-Werner, Lincoln, blackhawk, etc. would be compared to an import Jack. We used to sell all of the aforementioned brands but really only seem to sell Norco jacks these days. Things sure have changed over the years. Just like with the lifts, an imported item is only as good as the factory that made it. Norco has their act together and has been producing quality stuff for a long time.

What hydraulic system does Norco now use?

I dont have any concerns with the hydraulic system, Im more interested in what type of seals they are using.

I feel that is a very biased thread, Im gonna place my bets on the a hydraulic Jack that has been using the same system for 60+ years, And base my opinons on actual everyday experiences that have come into my shop.

Yes, I am biased towards the Milwaukee unit. After my very lengthy and confusing search looking for a new quality jack, I decided on the model 40.

The NEW floor jack market is a very confusing place for a lot of people these days as a lot of old brands that were trusted in the past either now don't exist, or exist in name only and to make things even more difficult the places where you used to purchase a quality jack such as Sears, or even the Snap-On truck will all sell you some Chinese throw-away **** these days.

As a person that used to own an old Hein Werner unit and had flawless service from it, my first choice was to go with a new Hein Werner. But since the new "Old Lincoln" design looked like a lot the Chinese stuff, I just assumed that's exactly what it was.

Of course after being a bit more informed now, I know that this is not the case.

With Milwaukee for me at the time, it seemed that I stood a pretty good chance of actually getting a quality manufactured product instead of a trusted old name brand on a Chinese throw-away.

Nothing Wrong with the Milwaukee jack, Im sure we've had this discussion before. Its some of the other choices on that list that bother me, Milwaukee makes a GREAT jack and you should be Proud to Own one.

I just bookmarked your site. Saylor-Beall dealer:bowdown: I wish you had all those photos up for the SB items. SB's website isn't that great, and their new brochures don't have everything. I'm in the market for a few things. Good to know about your shop.
