I recently bought an old Hein Werner 2 ton floor jack . Orange , not blue . The only ID on it says model M . and the last digits of a serial # . It's leaking and I want to replace the seals . Is there a way to find out just what model , series , etc it is and how do I get a seal kit for it ?

Hein Werner jacks are great jacks. I've got two of 'em. One model WS--1.5 ton, and one Oh Boy--1.25 ton. They are a little tricky to disassemble and assemble again--the H.W. company purposely made them with odd sized/shaped tank nuts, but I made a tool out of an old socket to remove mine. Don't know if your 2-ton jack has the same tank nut, but if you post a picture, GJ member Hiball will surely know.

got a seal kit from a hydraulic place that we use for work . I was moving the jack around the garage looking for a good spot to start disassembly and noticed that the handle seemed to turn a lot with no stop . these handles do have a point at which the release stops turning , do they not ? It just didn't seem right to me . Any input ?

It's not the whole handle that turns , it's the cap at the top . Just wanted to clarify . Thanks , ckleine

I have a Hein-Werner WS 1.5 ton and after turning to the left/release for about 25-30 seconds it seems that mine has no end either. I think you're gtg on that.
