Hi, Guys

I recently purchase a nice 3" Heinrich Grip Master Vise at a somewhat acceptable price in Ebay but needs some TLC. The vise has some rust here and there but nothing that a good sanding and polishing cannot take care of it. Planning also to repaint the vise. The vise has 2 slide bars that connect the rear and front blocks and the slide block rides on these bars.

Does anybody know how to remove these slide bars? I would like to remove them for cleaning and polishing, and would help a lot to complete the cleaning process and the painting. The center slide bar is attached with a screw on the other side of the slide block, but the side bars do not have anything holding them. I suspect they are either screwed to the front block or pressed in. Any advise will help.

The tool was manufactured in Racine Wisconsin by the Heinrich Tool Company. The company is no longer in business, I knew the owner Bob Heinrich but unfortunately he passed away a year ago otherwise I would ask him about disassembly of the vise.

As @Bobioz1 said, they are still in business (although their price list hasn't been updated since 2015).
I read on another board that the sliders are press fit. Seems as though it would take a lot of work to remove them and get them back in.
The reason I wanted to was to clean all the rails. for some reason mine as had a sticky slide action for as long as I can remember. I really haven't had the time to take it apart and figure out what's preventing it from sliding smoothly. I will try to do it this week sans press fit rails.

I took a few minutes to take the vise apart this morning and cleaned all the rails. When the spring/cam isn't installed it all slides perfectly. When putting the cam back in I couldn't get it to slide easily. The issue was the Locking Ring (#6 in schematic). On one side the tab looks machined rounded on the other it is machined flat. I had always assumed the rounded side contacted the cam on the arm. I reversed it so the flat side contacts the arm and it is smooth. I wonder if over the years the one side has become rounded by use. I might have to call them and ask.
