I haven't used them but sounds like a broken extractor in the stuck bolt if you ask me.

I have to agree, it's hard enough to keep from breaking extractors without adding (and hardening) a drill on the tip...

Try to get some left hand drills for the std extractors, often the drill will run the snapped screw/bolt out...

I'm with the other posters so far. If you break one you've actually broken 2 tools although you could probably still use the good 1/2 of the broken tool but now you're really screwing around. Buy separate left hand bits and separate extractors.
